The Patriots brought back a veteran offensive lineman Friday.
New England announced it signed Michael Jordan to the practice squad. The Patriots released tackle Jalen McKenzie to make room for the 26-year-old.
Jordan started 11 games this season, filling in for Cole Strange, who started the season on the physically unable to perform list. He was released on Tuesday and passed waivers.
Pro Football Focus gave Jordan a 45 run-block grade and a 60.4 pass-block grade for his performance in a unit that’s been one of the worst in the NFL.
New England likely will use Jordan as insurance as Strange works his way back to the lineup and as head coach Jerod Mayo and his staff try to find the best offensive line combination.
