Drake Maye cleared concussion protocol and will start behind center Sunday afternoon the New England Patriots face the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium.
But Maye, who suffered a concussion against the New York Jets last Sunday, will do so without two veteran receivers against a Tennessee secondary without its top cornerback.
K.J. Osborn and Tyquan Thornton, both of whom have been involved in trade speculation ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, were healthy scratches. It marked the third time scratch of the season for Thornton (four catches, 47 yards in six games) and second for Osborn (seven catches, 57 yards in six games).
New England’s receiver group for Week 9 included DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker.
