The Red Sox finalized their coaching staff for the 2025 season on Friday.
Boston will see plenty of big names return, with manager Alex Cora, bench coach Ramón Vázquez, pitching coach Andrew Bailey, hitting coach Pete Fatse, assistant hitting coach Ben Rosenthal, third base coach and outfield instructor Kyle Hudson and bullpen catcher Charlie Madden all resuming their roles on the staff.
Jason Varitek will also return, though his role is transitioning from game planning coordinator, to game planning and run prevention coach.
Cora’s staff will have a few new faces, as José Flores was named first base coach and infield instructor, Parker Guinn was hired as catching instructor and a bullpen catcher, Chris Holt was named bullpen coach and Dillon Lawson was named assistant hitting coach.
Flores, who will be instantly recognizable due to his trademark necklace and sunglasses, spent the past three seasons bench coach for Triple-A Worcester following stints with the Chicago Cubs, Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies. Guinn spent the past two seasons in the New York Yankees organization as a manager in the Dominican Summer League.
