Bill Belichick seems interested in joining the college coaching ranks and might have gotten approval from those close to him.
The former New England Patriots head coach reportedly interviewed for the North Carolina job. There was mixed reporting regarding how serious the 72-year-old is about coaching in college, but the Tar Heels seemed interested enough to reportedly hold a second interview with him.
Belichick didn’t necessarily confirm the talks in his appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show” on Monday. But the eight-time Super Bowl champion’s in-depth conversation about the college game brought added intrigue.
His girlfriend Jordon Hudson on Monday posted photos on Instagram celebrating Christmas early in Nantucket, Mass. A picture of Belichick having a laugh was included, which prompted a fan to comment on Hudson’s post to ask to her tell Belichick to take the UNC job.
“I’ll pass along the message,” the 24-year-old replied along with a winking face emoji and a light blue heart symbolizing North Carolina’s colors.

The comment seemed to hint that Hudson wouldn’t be opposed to Belichick becoming Tar Heels head coach. The transfer portal opened this week, so a decision from Belichick could come at any time. And it seems possible Belichick could be on the sidelines at Kenan Memorial Stadium with Hudson watching in the stands.
