Brad Marchand just won’t let Paul Bissonnette rest. The Bruins captain responded to another comedic back-and-forth with the analyst with a strong performance Wednesday night.
Marchand jabbed at Bissonnette last Friday during TNT’s pregame coverage before the analyst banned him from “Mr. TNT” consideration for a year. Marchand joined the crew again before Wednesday’s matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Bissonnette told the crew he would lift the suspension if Marchand tallied two points and a power-play goal in the Bruins-Blackhawks matchup. It didn’t take long for the Boston captain to answer the challenge with a pair of second-period goals at United Center.
The Bruins social team had plenty of fun in between periods and Bissonnette clearly did not match that excitement.
“I’m living in a nightmare right now,” Bissonnette said. “I’m living in a nightmare. … That was not my intention. My intention was trying to get between his ears. He’s done the complete opposite and gotten between mine.”

Marchand scored twice in a span of 2:05 to put the Bruins in front 3-1 against his 2013 Stanley Cup Finals foe. It’s the second multi-goal game for the Bruins forward in his last five games after netting a pair of goals against the New York Islanders.
