BOSTON — The Boston Bruins are celebrating the culmination of their 100 years in the National Hockey League with a centennial game against the Montreal Canadiens at TD Garden on Sunday.
The historic Original Six franchise released an amazing drone video soaring outside and inside its home area. The video by JayByrd Films is just over three minutes long and is a must-see for any Bruins fan.
Bruins legends Bobby Orr, Cam Neely, Johnny Bucyk, Zdeno Chara, Willie O’Ree, Rick Middleton, Ray Bourque, Patrice Bergeron, Terry O’Reilly, Phil Esposito and Brad Marchand are all featured throughout the video.
The video starts outside with Orr admiring the statue in his honor before heading inside, where Blades the mascot is making his way through security.
In a nod to his history donning the eight-Spoked-B, O’Reilly is seen sitting in the penalty box at ice level. O’Reilly leads the Bruins with 2,095 penalty minutes across 891 games while wearing the Black and Gold.

The drone takes flight through Heritage Hall, which features memorabilia from the Bruins’ 100-year history. O’Ree and Bucyk are seen admiring some of the items before the drone soars high above the ice, spotlighting the club’s president Neely and the NESN broadcast tandem of ex-Bruin Andy Brickley and new play-by-play voice Judd Sirrott.
The video ends with former captains Chara and Bergeron admiring the Stanley Cup. The pair helped the Bruins bring a championship to Boston in 2011 after a 39-year drought. Current Bruins captain Marchand is shown skating on the Garden ice, a nod to the fact he is the only member of the 2011 team to still be playing.
The Bruins also unveiled a centennial monument on Saturday with plenty of legends in attendance as part of the celebration leading up to the game.
Puck drop for the Bruins-Canadiens game is set for 4:15 p.m. ET, and you can watch all the action on NESN.
