The Boston Bruins hosted the Montreal Canadiens in an Original Six matchup that marked the 100th anniversary of the Bruins’ first game.
It turned out to be a celebration on and off the ice.
The franchise’s stars from the past took part in a pregame ceremony as the current team watched from the bench in front of the home crowd at TD Garden.
The atmosphere boosted the Bruins offense for a flurry of first-period goals on their way to a 6-3 win over Montreal.
