The list of suitors for Garrett Crochet is getting longer.
That’s not great for the Boston Red Sox, who reportedly have showed interest in trading for the Chicago White Sox left-hander.
MassLive’s Sean McAdam was told the Red Sox were “in the thick of things” for the 25-year-old. The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal recently questioned if the Red Sox could complement a potential signing of Juan Soto with a trade for Crochet, who’s locked up on a team-friendly contract.

If Boston truly is on Crochet, it has plenty of competition.
MLB Network’s Jon Morosi reported Wednesday the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds are among the “viable candidates” to acquire Crochet.

McAdam previously mentioned the Baltimore Orioles, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers as other teams showing interest in Crochet.
The White Sox are carrying a “hefty price” in trade negotiations, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan., who reported a deal could materialize in the near future.
