FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots are doing it again.

New England is making yet another change along the offensive line Sunday, as rookie Layden Robinson warmed up with starters ahead of a matchup with the Indianapolis Colts at Gillette Stadium. It’ll be Robinson’s seventh start of the season, but the first time he’ll line up at left guard after previously spending the entirety of his college and professional career on the right side.

How hard can the move be? Robinson described it as someone being right-handed learning to write with their left hand, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN.

“You get used to it the more you do it,” he said.

Vederian Lowe (left tackle), Ben Brown (center), Mike Onwenu (right guard) and Demontrey Jacobs (right tackle) will remain in the starting lineup, with Michael Jordan slotting out following his release earlier in the week.

Jordan was elevated to the active roster after re-signing to the practice squad, which means there’s a chance he will return to the playing field Sunday.

The Patriots — who have started (11), played (12) and rostered (16) more offensive linemen than any other team in the NFL — will roll out their ninth starting offensive line combination of the season with Robinson’s return. Cole Strange, who recently returned to practice and will have to be activated prior to his club’s next game, is expected to bump all of those numbers up fairly soon.

The Los Angeles Rams currently hold the record for most starting offensive linemen in a season with 14 in 2022.

If you’re in attendance on Sunday, don’t eat too many hot dogs, because you might only be one play away from New England asking you to jump in and get a few snaps at guard.
