Drake Maye was compared to Josh Allen plenty ahead of Sunday’s Patriots-Bills matchup — a clear sign of how great the rookie quarterback’s peers believe he can be.
Kendrick Bourne, however, took the Maye praise to a higher level by comparing his teammate to an even better signal-caller.
Speaking with MassLive’s Karen Guregian, Bourne highlighted the similarities in Maye’s work ethic to that of future Pro Football Hall of Famer Tom Brady.
“That’s what I see in (Drake). The way he’s making reads, and doing things, he has that potential. That’s who I can compare him to,” Bourne told Guregian. “Like Tom, Drake has that desire to get better and better and better. That mindset of being driven to get better, he has those same traits.”
Expecting Maye to become as decorated of a player as Brady is unfair, as the latter carries a list of accolades in a league of its own. But if Maye can match the Patriots legend in terms of will to win, New England will be in a great spot for years to come.

Maye will try to add another great performance to his rookie campaign at Highmark Stadium where the Patriots will try to upset Allen and company.
