The Boston Red Sox took care of an offseason priority with two impact additions to the starting rotation in Garrett Crochet and Walker Buehler.
Boston has not yet made Buehler’s deal official to have him added to the roster, but Buehler made his introduction to Red Sox Nation on X with some news about joining the ballclub.
“What up Boston?” Buehler posted. “#0 here… See y’all soon.”
Friday already marked a series of number changes for the Red Sox and Buehler will apparently wear a new number for the first time in his MLB career. The right-hander wore No. 21 throughout seven seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Now, in his own post, will make the move to No. 0 with Boston.
With starting pitching addressed, the Red Sox still have a clear area to address this offseason.
