Emil Lilleberg cross-checked Mark Kastelic in the final seconds of the Bruins’ loss to the Lightning, and the Boston forward missed practice Friday.
Lilleberg received a major penalty and game misconduct for cross-checking, and the Bruins took issue with the “cheap” shot from the Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman.
Interim head coach Joe Sacco provided an update on Kastelic’s status.
“He didn’t practice, obviously, so we’re taking it day by day with him,” Sacco told reporters Friday, per a team-provided video. “He got caught up in that incident and then rocked his head on the ice. We’re just taking it day by day and see how he feels.”

The Bruins held a morning skate in Florida a day before a Saturday matinee matchup against the Florida Panthers. Marc McLaughlin likely will dress if Kastelic isn’t able to suit up.
