Jerod Mayo hasn’t been seen or heard from since being fired by the New England Patriots on Sunday — and you can expect it to stay that way.
Chantel Mayo, however, couldn’t stand to be silent any longer.
Mayo posted a mini-rant to Instagram on Friday, which contained the following messages:
“It never even crossed our minds to tell the truth… But I couldn’t even fathom all the lies we’ve read that are being told to save face. What happened to the class????? We’ve been taking the high road and letting everyone do their thing since Sunday. But playing with someone’s name won’t be tolerated. I bet the fake stories will stop before the real ones start…”
Mayo also shared a quote, which said “The attack against you only indicates the potential that’s within you.”

The Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan and Doug Kyed released a report on Thursday that didn’t paint Jerod Mayo’s tenure out to be anything more than a disaster, though the organization didn’t come away unscathed. It’s pretty apparent the family isn’t taking the firing very well — which is understandable.
