Kristaps Porzingis had himself a night for the Celtics in Boston’s blowout win over the Chicago Bulls at TD Garden on Wednesday.

The Celtics big man scored a season-high 34 points (26 in the first half, including 15 in the first quarter) on 10-for-18 shooting, 8-for-14 from 3, 6-for-6 from the free-throw line, while collecting 11 rebounds, dishing out three assists and tallying three steals in 33 minutes for Boston.

Porzingis noted how some teams defend him and fired off a jaw-dropping analogy about how he gets his offensive touches.

“Some games (teams) completely take away my three, and then every basket I have to earn with meat…maybe that sounded crazy,” Porzingis said. “I have to go in the paint and fight and be fouled. Some games are like that. … I’m still thinking about that.”

The Celtics were focused from the start after their frustrating two-point loss against Houston. Just over two minutes into the game, they opened a double-digit advantage.

Porzingis found his offensive rhythm early, dropping his first two shots from downtown for an early 6-0 Celtics lead.

“I’ve always enjoyed starting a game off aggressively,” Porzingis told reporters, as seen on NBC Sports Boston’s postgame coverage. “… My rhythm was really good, and I feel the shot really good. So, trusting myself to make that sho,t and these guys are trusting me and pitching it back to me, and I’m letting it fly. I enjoy having these hot starts, getting the team off to a good start, and I look forward to keeping this momentum going.”
