The 2025 Pro Bowl Games rosters were revealed Thursday and one member of the Patriots didn’t seem to take too kindly to being snubbed.
Brenden Schooler was the lone New England representative on special teams. It was somewhat of a surprise that Christian Gonzalez didn’t make the cut. That seemed to be the sentiment on social media when the 22-year-old posted a laughing emoji on X.
The second-year cornerback isn’t very active on social media, but his last few posts before were asking fans to vote for him to make the Pro Bowl.
It might seem strange for a cornerback on a non-playoff team to make the Pro Bowl. However Denzel Ward was voted in, and it’s likely the Cleveland Browns finish with the same record as the Patriots.
Gonzalez frequently matched up against opposing teams’ No. 1 wide receiver and ranked 16th in coverage grade, according to Pro Football Focus. He allowed a stingy 54.8% of receptions and played in every game heading into Week 18; Gonzalez suffered a concussion last Saturday and missed practice Tuesday.

The Patriots star cornerback still has a chance at a spot on the NFL All-Pro team. However, a Pro Bowl nod would have been a nice reward for being one of the Patriots’ best players this season.
