The New England Patriots plan on going all out Sunday, but Drake Maye’s status remains up in the air.
Head coach Jerod Mayo this week stated his team’s intent to finish the season on a high note, rejecting any notion of tanking. Maye dealt with a hand injury in practice, and despite saying there would be no issue with it, the rookie quarterback was listed as questionable. Joe Milton III could be an option against the Buffalo Bills if there are any QB complications.
The Patriots on Friday ruled out four players. Christian Gonzalez and Ben Brown remain in the concussion protocol and won’t suit up. Jabrill Peppers will miss the game due to a hamstring injury, and Ja’Lynn Polk’s disappointing season will end due to a shoulder injury.
Sean McDermott’s side ruled out linebacker Terrel Bernard and ruled wide receiver Curtis Samuel as questionable. Josh Allen isn’t expected to play a lot but will start to maintain his consecutive starts streak. Mitchell Trubisky likely comes in for relief, and he’ll have Mike White backing him up after the Bills signed him off their practice squad.
Here’s the full injury report for the Patriots.
