Tom Brady’s voice still carries with NFL teams multiple years after his retirement.

Brady paired his FOX broadcast responsibilities with more involvement in the league when he signed on with the Las Vegas Raiders as a minority owner. The Raiders have plenty to solve this offseason, primarily in franchise pillars with a new head coach and a new franchise quarterback.

Las Vegas fired head coach Antonio Gibson after his first full season in a 4-13 campaign. The Raiders hold the No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and need to lock in on an impact addition to the roster, or even trade up to draft one of the top quarterback prospects in Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders.

With work to do, Brady should have significant input in these major developments of football operations, per The Athletic’s Dianna Russini.

“If he’s let go I would expect that Tom Brady, as a minority owner, will have significant influence on who the next head coach will be,” Russini wrote before Week 18. “(Though that doesn’t mean his immediate favorite is Vrabel, despite the fact they are good friends and former teammates.) It’s expected GM Tom Telesco will remain with the Raiders in his current position.”

Brady would send shockwaves through the league if he helped lure Vrabel west. That’s especially true given his status as the favorite for the vacancy with the team both former players built their legacies with the New England Patriots.
