The Boston Bruins will be well-represented when Team USA takes on Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off championship game on Thursday.

Brad Marchand will be suiting up for Canada. Jeremy Swayman is on the roster for Team USA, as was Charlie McAvoy before he suffered an injury in a preliminary game against Finland. TD Garden will be the host venue.

The B’s also have plenty of people who aren’t participating, which is why it was asked whether any would be rooting for one side or another. Brandon Carlo, Charlie Coyle and Trent Frederic will obviously be rooting for their fellow Americans. Matthew Poitras, Morgan Geekie and Justin Brazeau will be rooting for their fellow Canadians.

David Pastrnak? He doesn’t care.

“It’s good for hockey,” Pastrnak said Tuesday, per Conor Ryan of Boston.com. “… I think every hockey fan has to be happy with it. But for me, personally, I could(n’t) care less who is going to win. As a hockey fan, I enjoyed those couple games, and I will watch Thursday. But really, I don’t care who will win.”

Fair.

Pastrnak’s native Czechia was not included in the list of tournament teams, nor was Nikita Zadorov’s native Russia. Why would they care who wins?

The Bruins have bigger fish to fry.

“I’m happy for our fans in Boston. Hopefully it will be a good game [Thursday]. But at the end of the day, [I’m] focused on the rest of the season. … We have a lot of work to do in our room here with the final 25 games coming up. So that’s where my focus is.”

Pastrnak is hoping that focus will lead to a lot more than just 25 games.
