Super Bowl LIX will divide football fans worldwide, but hours before kickoff at Caesars Superdome, the NFL community was able to celebrate a heartwarming moment together.
Randy Moss made his triumphant return to television for ESPN’s pregame coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs-Philadelphia Eagles showdown. Moss stepped away from the network in early December to focus on his fight against bile duct cancer.
The Worldwide Leader celebrated the legendary wide receiver’s return with a tribute video that kicked off the latest episode of “Postseason NFL Countdown.” The video featured words of encouragement from a slate of sports legends, including Bill Belichick and Tom Brady
“Hey, Randy. Want you to know we’re behind you as you continue your fight,” Belichick said. “Welcome back to TV and ‘Countdown.'”
“Welcome back, Randy. I’m sure all the guys on set missed you, but we’ve all missed you, as well,” Brady added. “You’ve been a fixture on that show for a long time and you were a fixture on the field. For as great as you were on the field at showing everybody the strength and resilience of how you performed over the course of your Hall of Fame career, you have impressed and inspired us more than anything with what you’ve done off the field. You’re a brother to me. I love you more than anything in this world and it’s so great to have you back.”

Moss was overwhelmed by the support and needed to wipe away tears before he expressed his appreciation for everyone keeping him in their thoughts and prayers.
“Y’all already know it’s the big crybaby here, man,” Moss said. “I couldn’t do it alone. I really thank y’all. NFL, my teammates — I seen Pep (Daunte Culpepper), I seen Mrs. (Marie) Green, I seen Brady, Belichick. Hey, guys. It’s been hard, but I got a lot of love and a lot of people believing in me. I’m happy to be here, man.”
