The Patriots’ spending spree is reportedly continuing, and New England finally has landed the veteran offensive lineman it so badly needed.
Veteran tackle Morgan Moses is signing a three-year, $24 million deal, according to NFL Media’s Mike Garofolo. According to the report, the 6-foot-6, 318-pound lineman will sign a deal that could be worth more than $28 million.

The 34-year-old spent the 2024 season with the New York Jets and played in 14 games protecting Aaron Rodgers from the right tackle position. He was considered a top-20 lineman entering the 2024 season after finishing 18th among all tackles in pass-block win rate, and his overall PFF ranking for 2023 was the best of his career.
Moses’ PFF grade did take a significant dip in 2024, dropping to 63.3, the lowest grade he’s received since his 2014 rookie season in Washington.
Moses has been remarkably durable for much of his career, playing and starting in at least 16 games every season between 2016 and 2022. He played in 14 games each of the last two seasons, missing three games with a knee injury. Despite that ailment, he was able to return and played a large majority of New York’s games down the stretch despite the Jets falling out of playoff contention.

The veteran tackle won’t be confused for an All-Pro anytime soon, and his best football is clearly behind him. However, New England didn’t really have a choice but to do something given how bad the offensive line performed in 2024.
