The Giants reportedly want another look at Shedeur Sanders and will fly to Colorado on Thursday for one last private workout with the quarterback prospect.
What’s the big deal, right?
Well, the timing is a bit perplexing. New York will see Sanders just one week before it makes the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. For reference, the Tennessee Titans held a private workout for Cam Ward nearly three weeks prior on March 28.
“When this happens so late in the process either there’s a big disagreement in their building on their evaluation or (they’re) reacting to new information,” former NFL general manager Mike Tannenbaum wrote on X.
A “big disagreement,” huh?

Perhaps that’s a product of differing opinions on Sanders after Colorado’s showcase April 4. The G-Men sent a large contingent to the showcase, which also featured wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter, arguably the top prospect in the class.
Or perhaps it’s because it seems the Cleveland Browns have shifted from Abdul Carter to Hunter. While Carter and Hunter represent the two blue-chip prospects in the draft, New York might not be as infatuated with the Penn State edge rusher given it’s invested real assets into edge rusher Brian Burns (five years, $141 million) and defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux (fifth overall pick in 2022).
What does this all mean? It’s not to say the Giants will draft Sanders with the third overall pick, but perhaps the door isn’t closed after all.
