Jarren Duran has been outspoken about his mental health journey, and the Red Sox star continued to do so on a new platform.

In Episode 4 of Netflix’s “The Clubhouse: A Year With The Red Sox,” Duran revealed he attempted to take his own life during Boston’s 2022 season. The storied franchise, including team president and CEO Sam Kennedy, was moved by the 2024 All-Star coming forward and sharing his story.

“Jarren’s decision to share his story is an act of courage that reaches far beyond baseball,” Kennedy said, per The Boston Globe.

“By opening up, he’s showing others who may be struggling that they’re not alone and that asking for help isn’t just OK, it’s essential.

“Every member of this organization continues to stand with him. He has our deepest admiration, he’s always had our full support, and we’re incredibly fortunate to have him as part of our team.”
