Red Sox Vs. White Sox Lineups: Ex-Boston Prospect Makes Debut

The Red Sox will look to get back on track Friday, as they’ll open up a brand new series against the lowly Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Chase Meidroth will try to spoil things for his former organization.

Meidroth, who was part of the trade that sent Garrett Crochet to Boston, was called up to the major leagues for the first time prior to the series and will make his first start on Friday. Blake Sabol, who made a brief appearance off the bench Thursday, will make his first start for Boston.

Sean Newcomb will start for the Red Sox, looking to turn around his misfortunes and grab his first victory for his hometown club.

The Sox (x2) are scheduled to take the field on the South Side at 7:40 p.m. ET, following an hour of pregame coverage on NESN.
