The vibes are high surrounding the Boston Red Sox currently. That’s typically what happens when your team rattles off a 10-game win streak, which is precisely what the Red Sox did before the All-Star break.

While Boston has been getting contributions from pretty much every player on their roster, their three All-Stars, Garrett Crochet, Alex Bregman, and Aroldis Chapman, have done much of the heavy lifting so far this year.

Crochet, in particular, has been a stabilizing force at the top of the Red Sox’s inconsistent starting rotation. Through 20 starts, Crochet has amassed a 10-4 record while posting a 2.23 ERA and racking up 160 strikeouts in 129.1 innings of work.

Without Crochet’s ace-like performance throughout the year, it’s fair to wonder where Boston would be. However, Crochet is aware that he’s not solely responsible for the Red Sox’s recent run of success, which led to him shouting out Romy González in hilarious fashion when meeting with reporters.

“We’re playing good ball right now, and the fan support has been tremendous,” Crochet said when discussing the Sox’s recent win streak. “Romy González has also been tremendously locked in, so that’s something else in itself.”

Throughout the year, González has coined the phrase “tremendously locked in,” which the rest of his teammates have now picked up. Ahead of their clash against the Tampa Bay Rays on July 11, several players were seen sporting t-shirts that featured González’s signature phrase, and it seems like Crochet is in on the fun now.

Beyond his contributions to the sky-high morale in the clubhouse, González has been a revelation while filling in at first base for the injured Triston Casas this season. In 44 games, González is batting .326 with five home runs and 28 RBIs, and he figures to continue to play a big role for Boston with Casas out for the year.

Given their recent run, the Red Sox will be chomping at the bit to get back on the field after the All-Star break wraps up. They will be back in action on Friday when they open a three-game series against the Chicago Cubs.
