Jordan Walsh certainly provided the fireworks in Monday’s Summer League loss to the Miami Heat, much to the delight of Joe Mazzulla.
The Boston Celtics forward picked up a pair of technicals that ultimately got him tossed from the game.
His second offense was the bigger one, certainly in terms of optics, as he shoved Heat swingman Pelle Larsson into the crowd. Larsson wound up landing on Celtics GM Brad Stevens and new team owner Bill Chisholm, who were seated in the front row.
That quickly got Walsh tossed. Walsh earlier received his first technical, which was for taunting after making a layup.
Getting run in a Summer League game isn’t the best look, and Walsh admitted after the game that not only was it a “dumb decision” to shove Larsson, but that he also had forgotten about the first technical.

Though Walsh joked he was unsure how Stevens felt about the incident, it was clear his head coach loved it.
“Yeah, he told me he loved it,” Walsh said, via Boston.com. “He was texting me like, ‘I love this out of you.”
Walsh is entering his third season with the Celtics. He made 52 appearances last season as an end-of-the-bench player and will be looking to make a push for a rotation spot on a retooled team this season. Bringing added edge seems to be something Mazzulla is looking for out of him.
