Nine months after helping the Los Angeles Dodgers win the World Series, Walker Buehler is finally getting his ring.

Buehler, now with the Boston Red Sox, will get his 2024 World Series ring before Friday’s game against the Dodgers at Fenway Park.

However, he doesn’t want to make a big show or reunion out of it.

“I told them I just want them to bring it over,” Buehler told The Boston Globe.

The veteran hurler hasn’t seen many of his old teammates since last fall, when he notched the final out of the World Series at Yankee Stadium.

While he struggled during the regular season last year, Buehler played a major role in Los Angeles’ title run. The two-time All-Star went 1-1 with a 3.60 ERA in 15 postseason innings, twirling 10 shutout frames across the NLCS and Fall Classic.

He earned a win and a save in his two World Series appearances, closing out the Fall Classic with a scoreless ninth inning against the New York Yankees in Game 5.

After spending the first seven seasons of his career with the Dodgers, Buehler joined the Red Sox on a one-year, $21.05 million deal last offseason with a $25 million mutual option for 2026.

The two-time World Series champion has been a disappointment with Boston so far, going 6-6 with a 5.72 ERA and -1.2 WAR. He’s been better lately, however, going 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in three July starts.

Buehler is scheduled to face his old team for the first time in Sunday’s series finale. He’s expected to face former teammate Dustin May, who’s 6-6 with a 4.73 ERA for Los Angeles this year.
