The New York Giants may have just suffered a massive blow to their season and franchise outlook.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers “is believed to have torn his ACL”.
Nabers was carted off the field at MetLife Stadium after going down late in the second quarter. While running a deep route far into the Los Angeles Chargers’ territory, Nabers received a throw from Giants QB Jaxson Dart but appeared to tweak his right knee as he leapt to make an athletic attempt on the ball.
Nabers fell to the ground grabbing his knee, and the Giants’ medical staff quickly escorted him off the field.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter posted to X that Nabers will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine if he has indeed torn his ACL.
Nabers, 22, has quickly asserted himself as one of the most talented young players in the NFL, regardless of position. In his rookie season in 2024, the former LSU standout and No. 6 overall pick tallied 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns.
