Star left wing Brad Marchand makes his much-anticipated return to the TD Garden on Tuesday night when the Boston Bruins host the Florida Panthers.

The 37-year-old Bruins icon discussed his upcoming reunion in an interview with NHL.com’s Amalie Benjamin last week and talked about the big night again on Monday with Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic.

“I think there’ll be a little bit of love there, maybe if I do something good,” Marchand said, according to Shinzawa’s report. “If I do something bad, they’ll probably boo me pretty quick. They’re pretty passionate here. They might have forgot already and treat me like any other Panther player.”

Current Boston star David Pastrnak also reflected on his former teammate’s return, predicting that Tuesday night would be “special.”

Marchand played 1,090 games for the Bruins across 15-plus seasons before being traded to the Panthers in March.

The former third-round pick helped Boston win its most recent Stanley Cup in 2011 at the end of his second season and later made back-to-back All-Star teams in 2017 and 2018.

Marchand won his second title last season with Florida, scoring 10 goals and adding 10 assists during the playoffs. He has a team-leading three goals through the early part of the 2025-26 campaign and has dished out three helpers as well.
