Another week, another victory for the New England Patriots. With a 31-13 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, the Pats pushed their record to 5-2 on the season, bumping them all the way up to the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff picture.

New England didn’t get off to a great start, but they quickly bounced back and steamrolled the Titans on the way to their fourth straight win. With another strong performance in the books, let’s look back at the action and pick out four studs and four duds from the team’s Week 7 matchup.

Studs

Drake Maye

At some point, Drake Maye is going to have a rough performance, but it didn’t happen against the Titans. Maye completed 21 of his 23 pass attempts for 222 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 62 yards in eight carries. In the process, he put together an outing that not even Tom Brady managed to accomplish during his time with the team.

Rhamondre Stevenson

One big point of emphasis heading into this game for the Patriots was establishing the run game, and they did that early and often with Rhamondre Stevenson. With 88 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries, Stevenson enjoyed the best game of his season, and considering all the issues he’s dealt with lately, it was a much-needed performance from him.

K’Lavon Chaisson

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

The star of the defense in this game was K’Lavon Chaisson, and it wasn’t particularly close. Chaisson racked up a pair of sacks as part of his three-tackle game, and he essentially ended the game early in the third quarter when he had a four-yard fumble return touchdown after Cam Ward simply dropped the football while loading up to throw.

Marcus Jones

Having a knack for making big plays has helped Marcus Jones continually find his way onto this list as of late. Jones was partially responsible for Chimere Dike’s 38-yard touchdown, but he made up for it with a late interception that sealed this game. Jones also has three tackles, one of which went for a loss, and a pass deflection on the day.

Duds

TreVeyon Henderson

With Stevenson having a field day against the Titans, that left TreVeyon Henderson on the sidelines to watch for most of this one. Henderson had just two carries for five yards, and he continues to struggle to carve out a role for himself on offense. No. 3 running back Terrell Jennings had five carries for 18 yards, which also isn’t a great sign for Henderson either.

Jared Wilson

One of the only real issues from this game was the offensive line’s play in the second half, as the Titans’ pass rush managed to generate some real pressure on Maye, sacking him four times. Wilson endured the worst day of the Patriots’ o-linemen, as he allowed several rushers to get home to Maye, even though Tennessee’s d-line was very shorthanded.

Craig Woodson

The other guy culpable for Dike’s aforementioned 38-yard touchdown was safety Craig Woodson, who had a surprisingly quiet day for the Pats. Woodson racked up just one tackle on the day, and it’s clear that he is a guy who would benefit greatly from the return of Jaylinn Hawkins, who missed his second straight game with a hamstring injury.

Kyle Williams

It’s tough to harp too much on Kyle Williams, but similar to Henderson, he is struggling to earn snaps on offense for the Patriots. Williams failed to haul in his only target of the day, and while it’s tough to harp on him too much, these are the sorts of plays he’s going to have to start to make if he wants to get on the field more moving forward.
