Tom Brady and Bill Belichick accomplished a lot during their 20 seasons together with the New England Patriots, but one thing they never achieved was winning three straight road games in three consecutive weeks.
In fact, no Patriots team had ever done that until now.
With their 31-13 rout of the Tennessee Titans in Nashville on Sunday, New England won three road games in three weeks for the first time in franchise history (per Matthew Crory). The Patriots also extended their winning streak to four games and improved to 5-2, giving them a half-game lead over the Buffalo Bills for first place in the AFC East.
The road winning streak started in Week 5 with a 23-20 nail-biter over the Bills on Sunday Night Football, which New England won on Andres Borregales’ game-winning 52-yard field goal with 20 seconds remaining. It was the organization’s first win in Buffalo since Week 13 of the 2021 campaign.

The Patriots followed that up with a 25-19 road win against the New Orleans Saints. Although the game was marred by poor officiating that cost New England several big offensive plays, its defense stepped up and allowed just three points after halftime.
The Patriots started slowly against Vrabel’s former employers in Week 7, falling behind 10-3 in the first quarter and trailing for much of the first half. They ran away with the game in the second half, however, shutting out the Titans after halftime and cruising to their second-biggest margin of victory this season.
New England now boasts the best road record in the NFL at 4-0 and will carry a four-game winning streak into its Week 8 home matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The Browns are 0-3 with a negative-62 point differential on the road this year, giving the Patriots a good chance to extend their winning streak and stay in first place.
