Boston Red Sox infielders Romy González and Triston Casas both made changes to their representation on Friday.
González and Casas each made the switch from MVP Sports Group to Roc Nation Sports, following agent Roger Tomas after he made the switch earlier this month, according to MassLive’s Chris Cotillo.
Tomas, 39, is a former player who spent time in the Detroit Tigers’ organization after graduating from the University of Miami — the alma mater of González and the school that Casas was originally committed to before being selected in the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft.
Tomas also represents Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Jesús Luzardo, San Diego Padres outfielder Fernando Tatis Jr. and Atlanta Braves outfielder Jurickson Profar.
González is arbitration eligible until 2029. Casas is also arbitration eligible until 2029, though his future in Boston is much murkier following back-to-back season-changing injuries — which could leave the club looking for potential replacements this offseason.
