The Boston Bruins have played above expectations all season long, and continued that trend by improving to 20-14-0 with their dominant victory over the Utah Mammoth on Tuesday.
It’s no surprise to those in the dressing room, however.
Bruins head coach Marco Sturm was asked how important team chemistry was to his club’s recent run of success, and called back to something he learned while studying championship-caliber teams across the NFL, NBA and MLB.
“It’s huge — even in other sports, I follow other sports and championship teams and even coaches. The Philadelphia Eagles — that was my project — I was reading and looking up a lot of those teams.” Sturm said, as shared by WEEI’s Bridgette Proulx. “I liked the coach, the chemistry they had, I liked the comments and everything… it’s important that we all connect and are like a family.”
The B’s have a long way to go before they can be compared to the Super Bowl LIX champions, but that’s not a bad team to model your game after…
