After losing back-to-back games to the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons, the Boston Celtics responded by beating both the Miami Heat and the Toronto Raptors on a back-to-back. Making that even more impressive is the fact that the C’s beat the Raptors without having Jaylen Brown at their disposal.

Brown has been playing at an MVP-caliber level this season, as he’s averaging 29.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and five assists per game while shooting 50% from the field. The team’s win over the Raptors was only the second game he missed this season, as he was dealing with a non-COVID illness.

On the team’s injury report that came out Sunday afternoon, Brown was listed as questionable due to his aforementioned illness. On Monday, though, the team revealed that Brown would be good to go for this game, as his status was upgraded to available.

As we can see with his numbers, being without Brown puts the Celtics in a tough spot. The team managed to earn a big win over the Raptors, but they obviously would rather have Brown on the court than watching from the sidelines.

Elsewhere on the injury report, Jordan Walsh is questionable, as he’s dealing with an illness, too. Jayson Tatum, meanwhile, is still out, as he continues to work his way back from a torn Achilles tendon he suffered in the playoffs last year.

Boston will square off against the Indiana Pacers on Monday, as they have struggled to stay afloat without their own star, Tyrese Haliburton, after he also tore his Achilles tendon in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. Tip-off for this game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
