The New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills will engage in a very important rematch in Week 15 that will pit two of the best quarterbacks in the league, Drake Maye and Josh Allen, against each other for the second time this season.
Earlier this year, the Pats picked up a statement victory over the Bills with a 23-20 victory in Week 5. Since then, New England has been on a roll, and with each passing week, it looks more and more like a Super Bowl contender.
That’s been due in large part to the play of Maye under center. Many folks have been quick to compare Maye to Allen, given their similar styles of play, and ahead of this big game, the second-year quarterback made it clear just how much he respects the NFL’s reigning MVP.
“I really try to get my juices flowing for every game, but it’s a little different when you’re playing the MVP,” Maye said on “WEEI Afternoons.” “One of the best players in the league, he plays at such a high level. I hate to say it, but he’s fun to watch when he’s playing. Big fan of him off the field, got to know him a little bit, and he’s been great to me.”
While Allen won the MVP Award last season, Maye is one of the frontrunners to take it home this year. In 13 games, Maye has thrown for 3,412 yards and 23 touchdowns, while also rushing for 319 yards and another pair of scores on the ground.

Another big game against Allen, who has become somewhat of a mentor for him off the field, could help Maye solidify his MVP case. Kickoff for this big divisional contest is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
