It’s bowl season, which means we have a lot of football to watch between Dec. 13 and Jan. 19! Ohio State, Utah, Georgia Southern, Army, Texas A&M — and just about everyone in between — will take part in a total of 47 games that will ultimately conclude with the 2026 CFP National Championship.
NESN has you covered with previews for each and every game — with our next contest becoming an instant classic in recent seasons:

Matchup: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. BYU Cougars
Date: Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025
Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET
Stadium: Camping World Stadium — Orlando, Fla.
TV: ABC
Game Overview
The Pop-Tarts Bowl has become a cultural phenomenon in recent seasons, carrying on the legacy of revolutionary games such as the Blockbuster Bowl (1990-1993), Carquest Bowl (1994-1997), MicronPC Bowl (1998-2000), Tangerine Bowl (2001-2003), Champs Sports Bowl (2004-2011), Russell Athletic Bowl (2012-2016), Camping World Bowl (2017-2019) and Cheez-It Bowl (2020-2022).
It’s unlikely that we see the title sponsor change anytime soon, however.

Team Overviews
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Conference: ACC
Head Coach: Brent Key
Record: 9–3
Georgia Tech looked like it would run away with things in the ACC, though late losses to NC State, Pitt and Georgia really put a damper on things as they didn’t even make an appearance in the conference championship game…

Brent Key has done well to bring his alma mater along, and winning back-to-back bowl games would help continue that trend.
The Yellow Jackets are led by veteran quarterback Haynes King, who will look to cap off his career with one last victory.
BYU Cougars
Conference: Big 12
Head Coach: Kalani Sitake
Record: 11-2

BYU was perfect in 2025… except for the two times it played against Texas Tech.
Kalani Sitake’s squad was one of the first two teams out of the college football playoff, so they’re no bums.
The Cougars have a dynamic running game with quarterback Bear Bachmeier (527 rushing yards, 11 rushing touchdowns) and running back LJ Martin (1,305 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns), while their defense allowed just 19.0 points per game (21st of 136) in 2025.
