Jordan Walsh is experiencing his epic breakout moment for the Boston Celtics in his third season. The Celtics are 9-2 since head coach Joe Mazzulla inserted Walsh into the starting lineup. Over Walsh’s last two games, he’s been nearly perfect, dropping 39 points on 14-of-15 from the field to go along with 11 rebounds, three blocks, and three steals. Holy moly.
It’s been a career-changing stretch for the 21-year-old Walsh, and it’s awesome to see all of his hard work over the past two-plus seasons paying off in a big way.
Now that Jordan has established himself as a productive and confident NBA player, though, Celtics star Jaylen Brown believes it’s time to scale back the praise and dive back into humility.
Following Boston’s blowout victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night at TD Garden, Brown told the media not to overly boost Walsh’s ego.

“I don’t want to boost his head up too much,” Brown said, per CLNS Media.”I don’t want him to start getting cute. You gotta still take care of the details.”
Walsh is now averaging 6.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game for the Celtics in 20.7 minutes per game.
