The Boston Bruins are set to host the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night, and head coach Marco Sturm knows the road team presents a lot of challenges.
Although New Jersey is coming off a 3-0 shutout loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday and on the second half of a back-to-back, Sturm expects them to come out strong.
The Bruins head coach, meanwhile, wants his team to be wary of the Devils’ top line, featuring Timo Meier, Nico Hischier, and Stefan Noesen. Sturm knows that line can score in a hurry, so he said the team has to know when they are on the ice.
“If you look at their record, they’re a very good hockey team,” Sturm said on Saturday. “They’ve got a very, very dangerous first line with a lot of skill that can score. Looking at their defensemen, they skate, they have skill.
“There’s a lot of skill and speed in that game. We want to have the same start as last game. Jersey played last night, so we want to out-work and out-grind and hopefully take advantage of that.”

Boston is coming off a 5-2 home win over the St. Louis Blues on Thursday, and Sturm hopes the team builds off that.
The Bruins enter play with a record of 16-13-0 which is good for second place in the Atlantic Division. New Jersey, meanwhile, is 16-11-1 and is just outside of a playoff spot.
