New England Patriots cornerback/punt returner Marcus Jones was a stunning Pro Bowl omission this year.
The 27-year-old said on Tuesday that he was “surprised” that he didn’t earn the honor, but also “happy for everyone that ended up making it.”
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel recently discussed Jones’ Pro Bowl snub.
“I think Marcus has had a hell of a year and I think he’s a Pro Bowler. I’m glad he’s our returner and glad he’s helped us out. But sometimes that just doesn’t happen,” Vrabel said, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
Tennessee Titans rookie Chimere Dike earned the AFC’s lone returner Pro Bowl nod.
