Plenty of discussions are being had at MLB Winter Meetings.
Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow revealed Boston has received trade calls pertaining to their surplus of starting pitchers, a group that includes a mixture of experience and potential.
MassLive’s Sean McAdam and Chris Cotillo reported the Red Sox have conducted trade calls with “three or four” teams.
“… The source cautioned that no deal is close (for Ketel Marte) and estimated that the Red Sox are, at the same time, conducting trade talks with ‘three or four other’ teams in an effort to improve their roster.”

MassLive reported Boston has has talks centered around infielder Ketel Marte, which included “some exchange of names” as to whom would be involved in such a deal. MassLive also reported the Red Sox inquired about White Sox catcher Kyle Teel, who Boston dealt to Chicago for Garrett Crochet last offseason.

The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal summed it up by stating the Red Sox are “operating on multiple fronts.”
“The Sox seem to be pricing every available option, from first baseman Pete Alonso and infielder Bo Bichette in free agency to (Ketel) Marte and Houston Astros corner infielder Isaac Paredes in trades,” Rosenthal wrote Tuesday.
