The New England Patriots will take on the Buffalo Bills for the second time this season in Week 15, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. After Stefon Diggs delivered the goods for the Pats the first time these two teams met up in Week 5, Stephen A. Smith believes a similar performance could be in store once again.

After a bit of a slow start to the season, Diggs broke out in a big way for New England in its first meeting against Buffalo. In the 23-20 victory, Diggs caught 10 passes for 146 yards, as he torched his former team time and again throughout this matchup.

With New England potentially set to win the AFC East division on Sunday, the team will be motivated to take down Buffalo again and punch its ticket to the postseason. The stakes may be different for the Pats this time around, but Smith thinks another big game is in store for Diggs.

“I remembered something. 12 targets, 10 receptions, 146 yards receiving. Stefon Diggs, a former Buffalo Bill, now in New England,” Smith said on “First Take.” “So I’m thinking along the lines of, ‘Yeah, them brothers thought I was finished … Y’all didn’t think I was gonna be here, did y’all?'”

While his numbers haven’t always been gaudy, Diggs has been the Patriots’ most consistent wide receiver this season, as he’s caught 64 passes for 705 yards and three touchdowns. When Drake Maye needs a completion in the air, Diggs is typically the first guy he’s looking at.

After getting dismantled by Diggs and Maye last time, though, it’s fair to assume the Bills will be giving this duo far more attention in this meeting. Whether or not they can stop them, though, remains to be seen. Kickoff for this wildly important divisional matchup is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
