Ann Michael Maye is New England’s newest superstar.
Wife to her high school sweetheart, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, Ann Michael has begun introducing herself to Boston sports fans through her new NBC Boston television show, “Beyond Bakemas.”
Episode two of her new show featured a very familiar face, two-time Super Bowl champion David Andrews.
The conversation ranged from Drake’s relationship with the offensive line to Ann Michael’s adjustment to stardom, but in it all, an interesting admission about Ann Michael’s knowledge of Boston sports before moving to Massachusetts.
“I’m obviously not from here, didn’t grow up a Patriots/Celtics/Bruins/Red Sox fan at all,” Ann Michael said. “Big Papi was my favorite baseball player growing up, though.

“Randomly, I loved him. I think I liked his name. I was like a little girl. I just thought he was so fun.”
The couple grew up in North Carolina, where the nearest Major League Baseball team was the Atlanta Braves.
She said she grew up a Braves fan by default, but is enjoying adopting all four of the big teams in Title Town.

“Now I’m like, ‘Of course the Celtics are my favorite NBA team, of course the Red Sox are my favorite,'” Ann Michael said. “I love cheering them on, it’s pretty cool.”
