The Boston Bruins are set to host the Montreal Canadiens in a pivotal Atlantic Division showdown on Saturday night.
Boston is chasing the Canadiens for the third spot in the division, as the Bruins are three points back of Montreal. With Boston chasing down the Canadiens, Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov knows this is a crucial game for the standings.
“We’re three points behind them, so it’s a four-point game for sure,” Zadorov said pregame on Saturday. “Saturday night in our building, it should be fun for sure. There’s a lot of history between these teams. It’s nice to be part of it.”
Bruins head coach, Marco Sturm, meanwhile, knows a Boston vs. Montreal game is always special.
But, with both teams jockeying for playoff position, Sturm said it adds to the game and Boston has plenty of confidence heading into the matchup.
