Jaylen Brown had one of the best games of his life on Saturday night, matching his career high with 50 points in the Boston Celtics’ 146-115 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
After the game, Brown credited his monster performance to his recent salsa lesson with Victoria Monet, who watched her dance partner from courtside seats at Intuit Dome.
“I knew it before the game started. Like in warmups, I could just feel like every shot, and the ball was coming off my hands super clean. My footwork felt great. I did salsa last night. I had some great salsa classes, so I felt good as soon as I walked into the arena,” Brown told reporters after Saturday’s game.
Sure enough, Brown wasn’t missing during warmups. He also posted on X about his salsa lesson after the game.

“Was it the salsa lesson last night 🧐 I gotta dance more often lol”
Whatever the reason, Brown was on fire Saturday night. He made 18 of 26 field goal attempts with five assists and three rebounds, making a huge statement after he was shockingly snubbed for December’s Eastern Conference Player of the Month.

The Clippers couldn’t stop him, allowing him to become just the third player in Celtics history with multiple 50-point games after Larry Bird and Jayson Tatum.
Maybe Brown should take more salsa lessons, because they’re clearly working for him. He’ll look to continue his MVP-caliber season at home against the Chicago Bulls on Monday night.
