The Memphis Grizzlies might be blowing things up before the trade deadline, the Boston Celtics are monitoring the situation.

According to a new report from HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, the Celtics (along with the Detroit Pistons) are interested in potentially trading for Grizzlies center Jaren Jackson, Jr.

“Amid Ja Morant trade talks, Jaren Jackson Jr. remains a player the Memphis Grizzlies want to build with, according to an ESPN report,” Scotto wrote on Friday. “However, that stance hasn’t stopped various teams across the league from registering interest in Jackson Jr, including the Detroit Pistons and Boston Celtics, league sources told HoopsHype.”

Jackson Jr. has established himself as a defensive anchor and versatile scorer since entering the NBA as the fourth overall pick by the Grizzlies in 2018.
