The Buffalo Bills defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in the AFC wild-card round but lost wide receiver Gabe Davis to a torn ACL during the contest.
Buffalo placed the 26-year-old deep threat on injured reserve Monday, among other roster moves.
The Bills are hoping to get veteran wideout Curtis Samuel back from an elbow injury in time for the team’s AFC Divisional Round game against the Denver Broncos, but added a former New England Patriots wide receiver to their practice squad on Monday to help with their pass-catching depth.
“We have made the following roster moves: – Placed WR Gabe Davis on Injured Reserve – Signed WR Kristian Wilkerson to the practice squad – Signed OL Nick Broeker to a reserve/future contract And DT Ed Oliver and WR Curtis Samuel designated to return to practice,” the Bills official account posted on X.
Kristian Wilkerson originally signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in May 2020 but was waived by the team before the season started.

Wilkerson joined the Patriots practice squad in September 2020 and was elevated to the active roster for the team’s Week 9 “Monday Night Football” game vs. the New York Jets. Wilkerson played just two snaps and recorded no stats in his NFL debut, before being sent back down to the practice squad.
He spent much of the 2021 campaign on New England’s practice squad but played nine snaps in Week 9 and nine more in Week 16. The 29-year-old Wilkerson had the best game of his career in the Patriots’ Week 17 rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars, recording four catches for 42 yards and two touchdowns on eight targets.

The most recent NFL contest he appeared in was Week 14 of the 2024 season with the Raiders.
