Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane’s season looks like it will end with a whimper…

Achane was listed as doubtful for his club’s matchup with the New England Patriots on Sunday, as he missed three consecutive practices with a shoulder injury that looks like it will end his season.

Achane has been one of the lone bright spots in a lost season for his organization, totaling 1,838 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns across the first 16 games of the season in which he was named Miami’s MVP.

The Dolphins will be without safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (calf), while offensive linemen Aaron Brewer (neck) and Austin Jackson (back), linebackers Jordyn Brooks (hamstring), Quinton Bell (illness) and Chop Robinson (concussion), wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ribs) and kicker Jason Sanders (hip).

The Patriots will be without linebackers Harold Landry III (knee) and Robert Spillane (ankle), defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga (foot) and offensive lineman Jared Wilson (concussion), who were all ruled out on Friday.
