The New England Patriots would break their tie for the most Super Bowl victories (six) with the Pittsburgh Steelers if they defeat the Seattle Seahawks on Feb. 8.
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye could also enter the NFL record books with a victory in the big game, as he’d become the youngest signal-caller ever to win a Super Bowl.
Maye, who will be 23 years and 162 days old when the contest kicks off, is set to be the second-youngest quarterback to ever start a Super Bowl, trailing only Miami Dolphins legend Dan Marino. The Hall of Famer was 23 years and 127 days old when was under center for Miami in Super Bowl XIX.
The Dolphins lost to the San Francisco 49ers on the big stage that year and Steelers icon Ben Roethlisberger is the only other quarterback in NFL history to start a Super Bowl at 23 years old.
“Big Ben” was 23 years and 340 days old when he led Pittsburgh to a triumph in Super Bowl XL over the Seahawks.
