Katie Woo of The Athletic confirmed that the one-year deal is for $12 million.

Arraez hit .292 over 154 games for the San Diego Padres in 2025, collecting 181 hits in 620 at-bats. He drove in 61 runs, scored 66 times, and added eight home runs along with 30 doubles and four triples.

His on-base percentage stood at .327, slugging .392, for an OPS of .719. Arraez stole 11 bases while striking out just 21 times across 675 plate appearances, maintaining his reputation for exceptional contact skills. His performance contributed 1.2 WAR, reflecting solid but not elite production compared to his peak years.

In his first full season primarily at first base with the Padres, Arraez showed consistency as a high-volume hitter, though his average dipped from prior campaigns. He started the year slowly but recovered to post respectable numbers in a lineup role that emphasized his bat-to-ball ability.

Arraez will reportedly play second base for the Giants.

Overall, Arraez’s career through 2025 spans seven seasons with the Minnesota Twins, Miami Marlins, and Padres. He boasts a .317 lifetime batting average with 1,028 hits, 36 home runs, 308 RBIs, and 16.4 WAR.
