The New England Patriots will host the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs.

New England finished as the second seed in the AFC and will play the Chargers on Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET. The Patriots opened as a 3.5-point favorite, and Vrabel said the preparation for Los Angeles is already underway.

“We’ll get ready and get rolling and try to do what we do every week, which is prepare and figure out who we have available and what we feel like the keys are going to be and try to practice and be ready to go,” Vrabel said postgame on Sunday about playing the Chargers. “That’s all we’ve done all year, and that’s all we’ll be able to do this week in the playoffs.”

The Patriots ended the season with a record of 14-3, but didn’t get the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Although New England had a good season, Vrabel said none of that matters anymore. Instead, it’s just one game at a time, as the playoffs are the only thing that matters.

“It means we are the second seed and we’re going to host the Chargers, and we start over,” Vrabel added. “The only wins that matter are going to be the ones that we can get moving forward.”

New England ended its season with a 38-10 home win over the Miami Dolphins.
