The New England Patriots have been rather reluctant to provide details on the status of quarterback Drake Maye.
Maye, who reportedly suffered a shoulder injury during his club’s victory over the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship, was listed as a limited participant on the club’s projected injury report on Wednesday. It’ll remain to be seen whether that changes moving forward, as there was no way to tell on Thursday.
WEEI’s Tom Carroll, CLNS’ Mike Kadlick and ESPN’s Mike Reiss were among the reporters to share that quarterbacks didn’t throw during the media access portion of practice, which was presumably done on purpose…
Maye hasn’t publicly favored his arm since supposedly suffering the injury in the AFC Championship, but raising your arms above your head is different than throwing the ball in the Super Bowl. New England’s decision to keep him from even warming up in front of cameras is quite interesting, as well.
The Patriots will release their latest injury report around 5 p.m. ET on Thursday.
